My husband loves a nice glass of whiskey. Me, not so much. But when I came down with a terrible cold I went scouring the internet for a hot toddy recipe. Since it’s Flu season, I thought I’d share it!
I had no idea a hot toddy would be so incredibly delicious. It genuinely warmed my soul and really made me feel better. I mean why wouldn’t it? The recipe I found for a “Classic Hot Toddy” was, of course, whiskey (the cure for any ailment), honey, which I of course substituted for Maple Syrup because not only do we make it, it’s also filled vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and lemon, which all have a long list of ways they benefit your body. In addition, the hot water helps you stay hydrated!
I think it tastes a little like spiked lemonade. My husband, who I consider to be a true mans’ man, loved it too!
